About Our Company
Here at Salmon Electrical Engineering, we have gained a wealth of experience of Civil and Military Aviation, Motorsport, EV Maritime projects and Sailing vessels. We are committed to provide the highest quality electrical system builds, installations and support, along with providing the best advice based on our experience in build standards and specifying components to survive the harshest environments that electrical systems now operate in on a day to day basis.
OUR PRINCIPLES
PERFORMANCE
Whether a top Formula motorsport team, a club level racer or out for a sail in their yacht, our customers expect systems to work at the touch of a button, to be safe and reliable, with performance to meet customer expectation and operation to be reliable thus, keeping them in the game.
We endeavour to keep steps ahead of our competitors, using our experience around running an efficient workshop, which includes having a clean and tidy work area, timely delivery of materials through to being available for any customer queries and emergencies. This allows us to produce extremely quick turnarounds when required or to being onsite next day to assist in functional testing and fault diagnosis.
We are always striving to better our performance and believe expertise in product development is achieved through understanding our customer needs and expectations, being open to learning and alert to the latest technical advances.
PRECISION
This is ultimately our most important principle due to its direct effect on performance and reliability.
A top-level motorsport harness using DR25 harness using MIL SPEC components or a budget yacht or automotive build deserve the same respect and precision within the build.
We apply the same principles whatever the project. Examples include checking the right tooling for the task in hand with the correct calibration, checking parts are suitable for the application through to following build procedures thus ensuring correct assembly of a harness, component or enclosure.
Too many times we have heard "oh its failed because it’s a cheap part", in our experience this is nearly always due to the care and attention having been missing.
RELIABILITY
There is nothing worse than something not working as it should!
A failure on our part could cause a race car to not make it on track or a propulsion system on a vessel failing at the most crucial time. With our background in Aviation we know the consequences could be a far worse and ultimately cost someone their life.
There is no cost to reliability, we believe it is a must.
To ensure reliability we follow processes supplied within our customer build documentation through to our own codes of practice that we have developed from years of knowledge and testing. We implement quality assurance processes including sign off documentation for all our builds.
We believe our performance and precision has a direct effect on our reliability.
